5TH SUNDAY LIFEGATE FOOD DRIVE | TODAY | Lifegate volunteers will be handing out bags with a suggested food list at the end of each service. Filled bags should be dropped off at one of the Lifegate carts or behind your car on SUN., JUL. 29. Bags or monetary donations are always welcomed at anytime. Lifegate carts are located near the Christ Center Information Center and in the Sanctuary Gathering Area.

JULY READING DISCUSSION GROUPS: SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME | WED.,  JUL. 25 | 6:00 p.m. | Christ Center Assembly Area | The discussion groups will meet this week to watch the movie, Same Kind of Different as Me. YOUNG RUNNERS CLUB FALL REGISTRATION | JUL. 23 – SEPT. 24 | For those entering K5 – 9th grade for the 2018 – 19 school year | K5 – 2nd train for one mile fun run , 3rd – 9th train for a 5K. Season starts late Sept. and runs through early Nov. Fee is $40 for new members, and  $20 for those returning from 2018 Spring season. SHRINKING THE DIVIDE | TUES., JUL. 24 | 6:30 p.m. | Mobile Civic Center | The Pledge Group, a group of pastors and community leaders dedicated to shrinking the racial divide in the Mobile area, will host an area wide gathering to discuss ways to build a better, more harmonious community.
CHRIST UNITED COOK-OFF | SUN., AUG. 5 | 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Come out and prepare your best dish or stop by and sample some small bites and "vote" by making donations. All proceeds support the USA Wesley Foundation. To sign up and for more information contact courtney.mathis@christunited.com
DIXON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE | Sanctuary Gathering Area & Recreation Entrance | Pick up a supply list and return items by JUL. 31. Volunteers are needed to help pack the truck on Thurs. Aug. 2 and to help deliver on Fri., Aug. 3.
QUILTS OF VALOR AWARD CEREMONY | WED. AUG. 8 | 6:00 p.m. | Sanctuary | War veterans will be honored by receiving hand made quilts, some of which were created at workshops held here at Christ United. The colors will be presented by our own Scout Troop #2 and the National Anthem will be performed by Living Sound.
