Classes for Adults

Early Bird Class for Adults: The Way by Adam Hamilton

4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. | Hospitality Room | Taught by Brad Boland Travel the Holy Land with the author as historical background, archaeological findings, and stories of faith are used to retrace the footsteps of Jesus from His baptism; to the temptations; to the heart of His ministry. This includes the people He loved, the enemies He made, the parables He taught, and the roads that He traveled. This study is enhanced by videos of the Holy Land.

Sharing Your Faith | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Hospitality Room | This five-week course taught by Dr. Rob Couch will help you be able to better share your faith with friends, family members, co-workers, and even strangers! Effectively sharing your faith is something the Bible invites all of us to do, and it isn’t as difficult or as creepy as some have made it out to be. After learning from a variety of sources, by the end of the course you will have an understanding of the what, why, and how of sharing your faith, and you will be able to do it with more confidence.

Joshua | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Christ Center Assembly Area | Taught by Pastor Jeremy Steele | Every beginning comes from an ending. The book of Joshua is just that. It is the story of the completion of the promise God made in Genesis to give the land to Abraham's descendants. As that story concludes, the story of God's people in the land that stretches from Joshua through the Kings to the Babylonian exile begins. Come and explore this amazing book with Pastor Jeremy.

Not My Kid | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Room A-209 | Join Mike Rollins, Director of Youth Ministry, as he talks about juuling and vaping, the rapidly changing technology teens use and how to manage it, what bullying really is, and the teenage mind.

Shattered by Dyann Munoz | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Rm B-119 | Led by the author | This Bible study addresses hope and healing following the loss of a spouse either to death or divorce. If you are suffering with this kind of loss, this is an opportunity to share this study with the author. Book and workbook set available to purchase at first class meeting.

Guard Rails by Andy Stanley | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Parlor | Led by Cole Hitt | Guardrails are everywhere, whether we need them to be or not. The thing about guardrails is that we don't need them...until we do. And when we need one, it can be the difference between life and death.

DivorceCare | 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.| Rm A-201 | Led by Katrina Dewrell & Charles Bryars | Most people feel a little nervous about going to Divorce Care the first time, but that will not last long. Here you will find warm, caring people who want to help you. You will learn practical information, have a chance to talk about your experiences, and discover hope for the future. Participant guide: $15.

Union: How God Draws Us into Love, Justice, Grace & Fellowship by Dr. Paula Lemons | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Rm A-204 | Led by Crystal Couch | The goal of Union is to engage people in critical reflection on foundational concepts in Christianity, including love, justice, grace, fellowship, and the Kingdom. Confusion and conflict about Christianity abound in society. Yet, the core of Christianity is God’s love for humans and His relentless call to relationship and purpose. Dr. Lemons tells how God has used every day experiences to speak to her, and she asks you to consider the ways God is reaching out to you.

Kings & Prophets – A Precept Upon Precept Study of 2 Chronicles, Amos and Jonah | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Rm A-206 | Led by Brenda Davis | What happens when your heart is divided? What lessons can we learn for our lives today from the examples of Solomon, Rehoboam, Jeroboam, and Abijam? What does God do when His people trust their own judgment and disobey Him? This portion of the study covers books 5, 6 & 7 in the series. The combined cost of these three books is $20. Contact Sonya Carson to register and order your study guide by March 4.

Prayer Meeting | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Rm A-202 | Led by Rick Dacus | This group will be praying for those on the church prayer list, specific needs within the church and the church in general. Be part of this group as they experience and share the power of prayer. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24
