MISSIONS
We seek to empower ministry locally, nationally, and internationally through mission partnerships. Through those partnerships we provide opportunities to the members of Christ United to engage in changing the world by spending their time in service with those partner organizations. We encourage everyone to get involved in one or more of the following ways:
Pray for the missions we sponsor and our mission teams
Give to Christ United Missions Fund to support missions here and around the world
Serve on one of our teams or by contacting one of our supported agencies
Change the World Service Events
Volunteer alongside others in service with local ministry opportunities. We emphasize projects that are family-friendly and involve a wide variety of skills and abilities so that everyone can participate. If you have Christ United apparel, please wear it. Help CU Members This Week!
Tuesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 29 | 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. | Various Locations
A number of our Christ United Church members have lawn and home maintenance chores that they can use help with. Most are older or widowed and were suggested to us by our Congregational Care Team. We had contacted them about being a part of our “Light of the World Service Weekend” projects, but it turned out that the time we chose for volunteers didn’t get any responses. So, we’re setting morning work sessions . We will help to trim hedges, organize storage, clean out vines, or do light household maintenance (change light bulbs, etc.). We’ll set teams and sites based on volunteer availability and update you by text and e-mail. Learn more and sign up now!
