Lenten Study of the Book of Luke
Wednesdays | February 25 - April 1 | 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | Hospitality Room
Led by Pastor Brian Hasty | In this 5-week study, we will take a closer look at the Gospel of Luke during Lent. Using Inductive Bible Study methods, we’ll focus on learning how to read the Bible well by slowing down, paying careful attention to what the text says, asking better questions, and reflecting on how God wants it to shape our lives. Luke is a great place to practice because of its clear flow and rich storytelling about Jesus. This class is designed to give you tools you can keep using long after Lent is over.
Money, Sex and Power: The Challenge of a Discipline Life
Wednesdays | April 8 – May 20 | 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | Hospitality Room
Led by Pastor Rob Couch | Join us for a 6-week study of Richard Foster’s The Challenge of the Disciplined Life: Reflections on Money, Sex, and Power. Together, we will reflect on how following Jesus reshapes some of the most powerful forces in our lives—money, sex, and power—and discover how spiritual discipline leads not to restriction, but to freedom. If you’re longing for a faith that moves beyond good intentions into real transformation, this study will invite you into a deeper, more integrated life with Christ. No class on April 15.
Prayer as a Ministry
Wednesdays | April 22 - May 20 | 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | CCAA
This Navigator-level course in the CU Way of Discipleship equips participants to serve others through the ministry of intercessory prayer. Together, we will explore the biblical and theological foundations of prayer and develop practical skills for praying with and for others. You’ll learn simple, practical ways to listen to the Holy Spirit and pray with confidence, not only in church settings, but in everyday moments with family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. Discover how prayer becomes a meaningful way to join Jesus' ongoing ministry of healing and restoration. At the end of the course, participants may be considered for commissioning as a Prayer Minister during a Sunday morning service. | NAV 203
