Communication Administrative Assistant
Under the general supervision of the Director of Communications, the Communication Administrative Assistant will assist with Christ United’s communication efforts internally and externally and must thrive in an environment with limited supervision. Pastoral Care Associate
The Pastoral Care Team is interested in hiring a part-time Pastoral Care Associate. The person in this position will direct both laity and staff in planning and implementing programs and events for the Stephen Ministry and/or the Senior Adult Fellowship Ministry. Participate in the hospital visitation on a weekly basis and one weekend a month. Maintain the Pastoral Care Calling Ministry, assist will weekday walk-in Pastoral Care needs. A Masters Degree or equivalent, in counseling, or a related discipline. Specific training experience in working with those in need of counseling services. Please read the entire Job description for the pertinent information regarding this job opening.  Resumes may be emailed to Donna Alexander. Contemporary Worship Arts Minister Full OR Part Time
Christ United Methodist Church is seeking a Contemporary Worship Arts Minister. The successful candidate will be musically talented, have experience leading contemporary worship bands and have a bacheolor degree in music or equivalent training/experience. This job can have either full-time or part-time responsibilities.

Part-time responsibilities:

  • Coordinate NewSong services along with the planning team. 

  • Rehearse with NewSong band weekly and prior to services. 

  • Oversee the technical and creative elements of the NewSong service along with the Media Team.

  • Oversee the NewSong music volunteers. 

  • Participate as needed with the overall music and arts program of the church. 

  • Oversee the stage area of the Christ Center (use, set up, storage, etc.). 

  • Maintain lists of active worship arts participants for purposes of communication.

Full-time responsibilities:

  • Coordinate NewSong services along with the planning team. 

  • Rehearse with NewSong band weekly and prior to services. 

  • Develop, mentor and oversee rehearsal for all contemporary worship teams (NewSong, Celebrate Recovery, Youth, Young Adult, etc.).

  • Grow new worship leaders able to lead their own teams. 

  • Staff with volunteers and interns all contemporary worship venues at Christ United (including but not limited to NewSong, Celebrate Recovery, Youth, and other venues as they are created).

  • Oversee the technical and creative elements of the NewSong service along with the Media Team.

  • Oversee the NewSong volunteers (Hospitality team, stage hands, musicians, etc.).

  • Recruit volunteers for and facilitate various worship arts like drama, spoken word, painting, dancing, etc.

  • Participate as needed with the overall music and arts program of the church. 

  • Oversee the stage area of the Christ Center (use, set up, storage, etc.). 

  • Attend weekly staff meetings and devotions. 

  • Maintain lists of active worship arts participants for purposes of communication.

  • Oversee the recording and mixing of NewSong worship music for release.

Chef Assistant/Cook I
Under the general supervision of the Chef. Media Tech
The Media Ministry is seeking a part-time Media Tech to help direct our worship services and other live events. Experience with live sound, lighting, and video a plus. This person needs to be self motivated, a good leader, and willing to learn. Next Generation Intern
We are seeking someone to join our Next Generation ministry team (0 years - young adults) as an intern. This person must have a passion for Jesus and the ability to work well on a team.
Specific Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Perform various administrative duties including, but not limited to facility request forms, communication forms, phone reminders and mailings.

  • Represent the Next Generation Ministry as needed including but not limited to the Next Generation booth on Sunday mornings, event check-ins, etc.

  • Assist in other Next Generation Ministries as instructed by the Next Generation Minister.

  • Participate in the total programs of Christ UMC through regular attendance at and participation in worship and small groups.
